Just because this kind of visualisation would have really helped me at school.
This is how the sine (or sin() ) function on your calculator works, where the input is just the angle on the circle below. For the record, if you drew another plot out to the right, that would be the cosine ( cos() ) function, which looks just the same but offset by 90 degrees.
