Paper prints Obama's private prayer →
There’s lots of talk around, and amlost universal condemnation of the newspaper’s decision to publish Barak Obama’s private prayer. I agree fully with that condemnation, but I wonder about the seminary student who actually took the note. Did he get paid for it? He’s a seminary student - does this mean an automatic fail?

Woman sues back surgeon for unwanted red rose... →
Poor reporting, really - it’s not until the third paragraph that they note that it was a temporary tattoo. It was intended, apparently, to improve her spirits as she healed. Still, it makes a nice headline, I suppose. (This one’s for my dad, who is having back surgery in the coming week.)

Heartwarming scene at a convenience store in...
(There is a long line at a small local convenience store due to a very nice but inexperienced cashier. The cashier messes up a purchase for the second time…)
Owner, to cashier: ”What the f*** is wrong with you?! You are so f***ing worthless!”
Customer: “How dare you talk to her like that! She is trying her hardest!”
Owner, to customer: ”If you don’t like how I treat my employees, you can leave!”
(Upon hearing this, everyone in line drops their things on the ground and walks out of the store.)
